What Bible do we use and why?
For the last three decades there has been a number of new translations to hit the market. I want to caution you to choose wisely the study Bible you choose to use. The King James 1611 has been widely used by the church and accepted as the Bible translated from the original languages (Hebrew/Greek). In many of the new translations large segments of scriptures have been omitted, including such verses as Matthew 18:11. “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.” The eunuch’s confession of faith prior to his baptism has also been omitted or placed as a footnote. Acts 8:37. There are over 200 names of God omitted and over 145 pronouns referring to deity also omitted. Do not allow new translations to change your understanding of God’s word. God does not change His word, nor should we. Let us as a people embrace the infallible Word of God. The King James Bible of 1611. God’s Word should not be on trial.
